Senior Oracle Developer
Position Overview
Senior Oracle Database Developer with Strong Oracle 10g, 9i and 6i Forms and Reports experience to join its LicenseEase development team. Versa Systems has over 10 years of experience in the development of systems for the regulatory marketplace. LicenseEase is a comprehensive, integrated, rule based software suite designed and built with oracle technologies to facilitate the licensing and enforcement responsibilities of various governmental and quasi-governmental agencies across North America. Qualified candidates must have 5 to 6 years of Oracle development experience. MUST have extensive experience in developing and maintaining applications with Oracle database, PL/SQL, Forms and Reports, and the experience must be CURRENT.
Technical Skills
- Strong experience in Oracle development practices and standards.
- Formal training in Oracle Developer Suite.
- Strong awareness of the conversion issues in migrating from Oracle Developer version 6i to Oracle Developer - Web Forms version 9i and10g as well as differences between client-server version 6i and web only versions 9i and 10g.
- Significant experience in doing maintenance (and especially involving Oracle Forms 6i, 9i, and 10g Web) will be considered an asset.
- Significant experience in doing upgrade conversion projects (especially involving Oracle Forms 6, 9i, and 10g) will be considered an asset.
- Experience with Oracle 9i/10g database will be considered an asset; including tasks such as performance tuning and DBA tasks.
- Experience with Oracle application server will be considered an asset.
- Experience with J-Initiator and webutil will be considered an asset.
Other Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent.
- Five years of progressively more challenging project assignments.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of working on multiple development and support projects simultaneously.
- Business and government systems development background an asset.
- Enterprise Java (J2EE - servlet, JSP, JDBC) and XML desirable.
- Oracle certified professional (OCP) certification is preferred.
