Versa is the leading provider of regulatory software solutions for government agencies throughout North America. The company's regulatory applications manages over 1400 license types for over 5 million license holders in 30 federal and state agencies and is widely considered to be the leading licensing system in its market. Versa is also the developer of CaseExpert, the leading Disability Determination System currently used by 17 states. The system balances workloads, tracks processes and manages timelines to ensure an effective claims process. Today, almost half of all non-occupational disability claims processed by state governments for the U.S. Social Security Administration are managed through software developed by Versa.
After several years of being owned by KPMG, Versa's management team successfully bought out the Versa business unit from KPMG in 2001. Versa's current shareholders include several well-capitalized American and Canadian private equity groups. In February 2006 the company purchased EVER America Corp., a provider of document management, imaging and content transformation solutions. Versa is using this acquisition to expand its current solution offerings in the rapidly expanding content management market.
