Block of Time
Versa offers ongoing services on a Time and Materials and Block of Time basis. Many customers appreciate both the flexibility as the discount Versa offers for pre-purchasing blocks of time. In general terms, the pool of resources you pre-purchase under a block of time arrangement can be used to access any of Versa's technical, project management or subject matter resources. We offer you a blended rate for these resources which is discounted and we also offer a better response time for block of time customers as compared to demand time a materials customers that aren't scheduled. Time and Materials support is always available as requested, subject to the availability of resources and is billed a minimum of 2 hours.
The following are examples of services accessible under a blended rate Block of Time arrangement or on demand on a Time and Materials basis:
- Remote Production System Administration - Backup, Restore, Preventative Maintenance
- Network Infrastructure Support Services - Installation, Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting
- DBA Support Services - Performance Tuning, Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Security Services - Performance Tuning, Vulnerability Assessment, Network security audits, creating users and security profiles
- Business Continuity Planning - disaster recovery assessments and planning
- Support for custom applications
- Extended hours of support
- Creating users or setting up security parameters
- Troubleshooting printing problems
- Customizations of the application
- Assistance with software upgrades and installations
- Recovery from Customer created situations. For example, recovering records inadvertantly deleted
- Installing and staging software
- Assistance creating your custom programs, scripts or forms
- Assistance with data interfaces or conversions
- Retrofitting your custom programs to a software upgrade of the Versa COTS product
- Backup and Recovery processes or any data loss as a result thereof
- Importing/Exporting database objects or external data files
- Assistance with business processes and adapting or adopting new business practices (may include amalgamation issues)
